We’re all excited here because we have finally launched the new version of onfpg.com, the home of The Overnight Free Parking Guide. You will find a lot of RV parking info there. Be sure to check it out. One of the best RV values we know of is spending the night at Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores are a great place to bed down when you are between destinations. The parking lots are usually monitored with video and some have a security guard. Just pull in, go in the store and check with management, park where they ask you to, and bed down for the night. When you are in unfamiliar territory it can be tough to find a Wal-Mart. That’s where the 2007 Overnight Free Parking Guide comes in. With maps and detailed driving directions to over 3400 Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart Supercenter, and Sam’s Club locations in the 48 states the 2007 Overnight Free Parking Guide is just what you need to get great value while you are traveling. At $32.95 (less than a night stay in many camp grounds) the book is a great value too. Shipping is included!
There is a great new web site that is loaded with info for RVers. Consider it your "dashboard" for your new RV adventure. Learn about RVing, read RVing articles, find RV clubs, meet friends in our RV forum, find campgrounds and rv parks... readytogorving.com/
Be sure to check it out.
RV TIPS & IDEAS ( Continued from 2007-11) – OK all that’s great but I don’t want to listen with headphones all the time. Well the popularity of the iPod has made it possible for lots of manufactures to create really cool after-market goodies for the iPod. Lots of these goodies have to do with getting the music in your iPod into your auto (or RV) stereo system. There are lots of different ways (and price ranges) to do this. Lets start with the simplest, the cassette tape adapter (about $15). People have been using these for decades. A cassette adapter looks like a tape cassette with a wire running out of it. The wire is plugged into the headphone jack on the iPod and the cassette is inserted into the stereo just as if you were going to play a music cassette. This is the low end both pricewise and qualitywise. Moving up one notch are FM modulators($30 and up). There are some problems inherent with this type of system such as poor FM reception due to the distance the antenna may be from the unit (RV roof) outside interference, and static> Also you have to have an unused FM frequency and that frequency changes while traveling. Moving up one more spot are Auxiliary Inputs. On the back side of many aftermarket and high end stereos are auxiliary inputs. These are used by connecting with a cord that has RCA jacks on one end and a headphone jack on the other end($10 and up). At the If you have any other free and easy ideas for better fuel economy – or any other RV related subject, please drop us an email here. yourvalu.com@verizon.net
Thanks for reading and we hope you enjoy this month’s values. See you next month.
